| On the 12th April 2014, St George Royal Mariner Lodge 553 and St George Mark Lodge 553 arranged a Social evening for its members, and friends. | |

| This event is now in its fifth year with attendance of over 70 guests’. The idea for a joint Social evening has been a great event since its inception. | |

| Royal Ark Mariner Commander Kaj Lange and the Mark Worshipful Master David Mairs circulated throughout the evening ensuring all the guests’ were happy. They also thanked Worshipful Brothers’ Ken Baxter and Graham Sinden for their work prior to and during the evening, thanks was also given to W Bro David Withey for his dedication in performing his duties as Secretary in both Lodges. W Bro David worked behind the scenes putting together the table plan and ensuring that all the guests were suitably accommodated for. | |

| The Provincial Grand Master Peter Connolly and wife Lynne attended the event with their friends Eric and Tegwyn Drinkwater. The PGM thanked all concerned, including, the excellent singer Colin Gibson, and the Chef Peter Barker and his staff for making the evening a success. | |

| The Special Representative for the Garston Group of Lodges W Bro Derek Horrocks was also in attendance, which is not uncommon as W Bro Derek is a member of both lodges, and as a key holder his job was to ensure nobody was locked in overnight. | |
